Since 2009, Suken Tests are administered in Cambodia once a year in Phnom Penh. In 2018, Cambodia marked the 10th anniversary of administering Suken Tests and the total number of applicants was approximately 6,500 as of 2023. In Cambodia, students in all grades from elementary school to college take the test.
At the request of local persons in Cambodia, English is used to present test questions. The Institute not only administers Suken Tests but also supports learning by holding seminars that provide explanations of test problems and other matters. The Institute is privileged and delighted to receive positive comments from local persons; for example, "Suken Tests are highly reliable as an indicator of mathematical ability because the problems are created in Japan, the Japanese come to the test venue, and grade the tests in Japan," and "Mathematics and Science are very important fields of study for the development of our country, so we want to build a cooperative relationship with the Institute."
